We've been busy, busy, busy over the past couple of months, with projects ranging from completely new Ecommerce ventures through to dealing with security patching and updating some very old sites!
We were approached by ECOne (a London based bespoke jewellery retailer) to make their site mobile friendly, and we've done just that.
We preserved the existing look and feel of the site, but adjusted the pages so that they automatically adapt to any browser size. In other words, their site works on mobile phones, tablets, netbooks, laptops, desktops or even 52 inch Plasma Screen TVs!
We've mentioned in a few previous blogs the importance of responsive design. Most e-commerce customers at some point use a mobile browser when looking for products. Customers who are able to browse a site using their mobile device are far more likely to end up purchasing from the site. With over 50% of traffic originating from mobile devices, ignoring responsive design is a little like ignoring half your potential customer base!
